If Aikhal hadn't started his season as a 50-1 shot in the St James's Palace Stakes he'd probably be favourite for this following his subsequent runaway Group 3 win.
Apparently only a social runner at Ascot, he was always going to be better at middle distances given his pedigree, and it's hard to argue with the form of his Curragh success given the near five-length third won a Group 3 last Friday.
He's the value against favourite Secret State, who steps up to Group company for the first time.
