Our tipster has a pair of 33-1 shots that could outrun their odds at Newcastle

Wynford
2.55 Newcastle
1pt each-way with firms paying 5 or more places

This is a stronger grade than he is used to but Wynford (33-1) is unexposed on the all-weather and looks to have been underestimated in the market.

All of his wins have come in handicaps at much lower levels but he sneaks into the race off a feather weight and the only time he ran over course and distance he won with plenty in hand.

He will need to do things the hard way from off the pace, but he is almost guaranteed to get something strong to aim at and Saffie Osborne's 3lb claim sheds further weight from his already tiny burden.

Who Dares Wins
3.30 Newcastle
1pt each-way with firms paying 6 or more places

I am truly mystified by the price of Trueshan, who would need to defy an enormous weight to win this prize, something no other horse has done. I will instead try to buck a different trend with Who Dares Wins (33-1).

No ten-year-old has ever won this race, but Nicholas T became the oldest horse to win it at the age of nine 12 months ago and this Alan King-trained veteran won the Plate in 2019 off 6lb higher.

He is certainly not the force of old, but he has a brilliant record on the all-weather and is tailor-made for these staying handicaps. Osborne's 3lb claim is a bonus once again and with a strong pace to aim at, I can him sneaking into the enhanced place terms.
