Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Monday selections from Listowel, Leicester, Hamilton, Warwick and more

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Fairyhouse

3.30: Awhile

It looked a decent contest in which Awhile was fourth on debut at Cork, albeit in a moderate enough time, and with the run under her belt, granted normal improvement, the well bred War Front filly could be diffiult to contain here. Joseph O'Brien (saddled the winner of the aforementioned race at Cork) is well represented here by Adelisa and Orionid, both of which are respected, whilst
Punakha and Vario are others to also strongly consider.
Seamus Howard

Hamilton

3.55: Chinese Spirit

Most of these have plenty to prove and the one that stands out is five-time winner Chinese Spirit, who had a near miss at Musselburgh last Saturday and is only 1lb higher here. The main threat could come from Shine On Brendan, who has finished placed in three of his last five starts including a third behind the selection nine days ago.
David Moon

Leicester

4.50: Eastern Star

This looks slightly stronger than the first division and the in-form Eastern Star, who has a fine record here, is taken to beat Melakaz and the progressive Priscilla's Wish.
Colin Russell

Listowel

1.40: Party Central

Gordon Elliott is not wasting any time in unleashing nice prospects, of which Party Central would be high up on anyone's list. A Listed bumper winner at Fairyhouse when last seen, she rates a smart recruit to hurdles and should have too much for Beret Rouge, who has good course form. Jeremys Jewel, Trendy Lady, Broomfields Hall and Mare Quimby are all lovely types in their own right.
Brian Sheerin

Warwick

3.00: Pink Eyed Pedro

The most persuasive option is Pink Eyed Pedro, who wasn't quite at his best at Cartmel last month but has performed admirably in some very competitive handicaps this year. Vision Des Flos beat Zoffee to win off a much-reduced mark last month but his overall profile is not that appealing and a bigger threat to the selection may come from Vinnie The Hoddie, who ran well on his stable debut in July.
Chris Wilson

Wolverhampton

7.00: Basic Beauty

With her latest clear second put in a more positive light by the winner again bolting up last week, Basic Beauty looks to be starting handicap life on a fair mark. Big Boy Bobby will need to find a bit more for the stiffer test again, while The Thunderer has to bounce back from a short-priced blowout last time.
