Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings
Hamilton
8.00: Kings Prince
Mark Johnston has won this race several times, including 12 months ago with the top-class Subjectivist, and in the unbeaten Kings Prince he has another very promising type. The son of Kingman is taken to extend his unbeaten run at the main expense of Title, although Glenartney is also unexposed and commands plenty of respect too.
Richard O'Brien
Kilbeggan
5.30: Canford Light
Although of little account on the flat, Canford Light shaped really well on his hurdles debut at Punchestown when making much of the running and he could be hard to peg back around here. Bumper winners Ardla and Mind Your Money look the dangers, the former lacking a recent run but has run well fresh.
Alan Hewison
Haydock
5.15: Irv
Having run well on their previous starts, Aoife's Joy and Little Ted are afforded plenty of respect. They are preferred in that order but either will do well to get the better of Irv on this season's solid form under his regular jockey Aiden Brookes. Lexington Warfare is the other to consider.
Keith McHugh
Newbury
4.30: Marselan
There could be more to come from Marselan now stepping back up in trip and he can defy the handicapper again and complete a hat-trick. Romulan Prince presumably didn't cope with two outings in quick succession when disappointing at Leicester last month and he can resume his progression and provide the chief threat ahead of Sunset. Visala hails from a top yard and needs keeping a close eye on in the betting now handicapping after a break.
Andrew Sheret
Killarney
5.10: Sempo
The Irish Grand National fifth Sempo will be well fancied to make the breakthrough over fences here. A lightly-raced individual, he has a nice blend of speed and stamina and with the race conditions in his favour, ticks all the right boxes. Exit Poll could prove to be a bigger danger than the Henry de Bromead-trained pair Myth Buster and Cavalry Master.
Seamus Howard
Newmarket
6.45: Zagato
Cheekpieces seem to have made a difference to Zagato, who can add to the Thirsk novice success he recorded at the end of last month. Il Bandito is selected to follow him home.
Andrew Sheret
Nottingham
4.50: Surprise Picture
Greatgadian made a bold bid when a close third at Epsom and he's open to more progress back at this trip, while Far Hope had excuses on her handicap debut at Royal Ascot and is respected on her drop back in grade. However, the one that appeals most is Surprise Picture, who has really kicked on again in his last two starts and hit a clear personal best when forging clear from the favourite at Yarmouth 15 days ago.
