Considering he wouldn't be known for juveniles, Joseph Tuite has an amazing record with 2yos here, with seven winners from 17 runners. His Heers Harry(nap), who showed more back from a break on his recent nursery debut off a 2lb higher mark, can enhance the numbers yet further at the main expense of Berry Quick, who appreciated the return to 6f when running well over C&D last time. Jusumi settled better in the hood last time and is another with claims if as amenable again going beyond 5f for the first time.

1.45: Samarrive

No prizes for originality here but Samarrive(nap) impressed on his British debut at Kempton in March and could turn out to be very well handicapped. Blacko reverts to hurdling on a good mark for today's stable debut and is feared most. Stormy Flight, Samba Dancer and Byzantine Empire are also shortlisted.

4.20: Be Proud

There are several front-runners and this should be run at a strong pace, which is just what Be Proud(nap) needs. He's only 1lb higher than when runner-up in the Ayr Bronze Cup last month and will be a major player if reproducing that form. Zargun arrives at the top of his game having been a cosy winner at Ayr last Saturday and is feared most. A case can be made for all four of Mick Appleby's runners, particularly the progressive 4yo Boundless Power, while Sunday Sovereign, Indian Sounds and Illusionist also arrive in good form.

3.02: Harry Alonzo

Colonel Mustard sets a clear standard of those to have already run over hurdles even though his Grade 1 second probably flatters him. Preference is for hurdling debutant Harry Alonzo (nap), who looked a nice type in bumpers last season when still plenty raw, and is potentially a smart novice prospect. In a strong maiden, Gamin Original rates a big threat, having unseated at the last over C&D in July when holding every chance.

3.19: Empire De Maulde

A smart handicap, featuring the return of last season's Cheltenham Festival hero Vintage Clouds and Scottish Grand National second Dingo Dollar. The latter may have even more to offer for Sandy Thomson this term but he does go without the tongue-strap he wore at Ayr (and when winning at Newcastle before that) and is taken on with Empire De Maulde(nap). James Ewart's charge ran well over a trip very much on the short side for him here last month and is the only one in this line-up who has had an outing in the last six months so it's possible he'll have a fitness edge.

4.00: Avagardner

Plenty of these make some appeal, but arguably none as much as Avagardner (nap) who can step up again after a 6f win at the Curragh on only her second start of the season. Young Angel should go close on her first 7f attempt. Coins Cross and Big Baby Bull may also feature.

5.25: Seventeen O Four

The key question is whether Seventeen O Four (nap) can start for David Pipe where he left off in May for Grant Tuer. His strength in the market needs a check but those two soft-ground wins earn him the vote. Das Kapital looks the chief danger, with Lady Isabel also likely to go well. Cases can be made for last year's runner-up Percy Prosecco and last month's AW winner Ruskin Red.
