Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings
Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Chelmsford
6.15: Beggarman
Love Poems is only 2lb higher than for her success here last month and she's respected on this step up to 2m, while Socially Shady had a near miss over course and distance on Monday and is a big player again off the same mark. However, preference is for Hughie Morrison's four-year-old Beggarman (nap), who beat a clear second when justifying support in a similar race at Kempton two weeks ago and is open to further progress at this trip.
David Moon
Doncaster
2.50: White Walker
A case of sorts can be made for the majority but White Walker (nap) goes unpenalised for his win in a conditional jockeys' handicap at Catterick a week ago and is 6lb well in here with conditions to suit. He's taken to beat Moon King and Manning Estate.
Richard Young
Dundalk
7.30: Bradesco
A small field but pretty competitive. Bold Approach is the class horse of the race, while Belgoprince looks progressive after an easy win at Navan and a decent effort over hurdles at Cheltenham. Jake Peter is back on a workable mark, but this should go to the hat-trick seeking Bradesco (nap) who stayed the trip impressively here two runs ago and the stable could not be in better form.
Justin O'Hanlon
Newbury
2.25: Phoenix Way
Unexposed Phoenix Way (nap) can deliver on the promise of his first season over fences by gaining his most notable success to date. Top weight Fanion D'Estruval is still a force to be reckoned with, having shaped well in the Old Roan at Aintree, and is next on the list, ahead of Amour De Nuit.
Richard O'Brien
Lingfield
12.55: Trevolli
A small field but still plenty of interest. Lough Cutra needs a close market check on his first run for Michael Wigham, while Enfranchise and Bearwith both have something to recommend them. While Trevolli (nap) wasn't an unlucky loser on Monday's stable debut, he did run into traffic at a crucial stage and there was more than enough promise in the run to think he should be winning races off this sort of mark.
