'I'm far from convinced either Classic passed the eye test - and here's why'

Most years I'm just as excited by the aftermath of the Guineas as I am the races themselves because I think they give you an excellent window into the rest of the Flat season.

However, this year could be different because I'm far from convinced either Classics passed the eye test, despite the right horses coming to the fore in the 2,000 Guineas.

I could be proved wrong as the season progresses but the time wasn't great, the draw probably paid a big part and I certainly wasn't as impressed with Luxembourg's Derby claims as the bookmakers.
