Gordon Elliott has a 20 per cent strike-rate at Downpatrick with 106 winners from 542 runners, and winner number 107 could be Road To Dubai in the 2m2f rated hurdle (2.20) as he might only have to repeat his latest effort in a hot novice hurdle at Galway to score.
The drop to two miles was the worry for Road To Dubai at Galway and that is the main reason he came unstuck as favourite Fast Buck just had too many gears for him when it mattered. Still, it was a performance which earned an RPR of 129. More of the same here over a more suitable trip might be good enough.
