Laugh A Minute (7.00 York, nap)

The son of Mayson ran a promising first race when third at Ascot recently and is expected to step up. Roger Varian's youngster limbered up well for this on the Limekilns on Wednesday.

Lambourn: James Burn

Indicia (1.40 Ascot, nap)

Well-regarded filly who made a pleasing debut when second in what looks a warm Newmarket maiden recently and should be suited by stepping up a furlong in trip. The booking of Ryan Moore shows connections mean business.

North: Colin Russell

Green Zone (3.40 Uttoxeter, nap)

In fine form having won at Perth on his last two starts and unpenalised for his victory there last time. With this longer trip in his favour, he is fancied to complete a hat-trick.

The Detainee (8.50 Chepstow, nap)

Stayed on well after hitting a flat spot to open his account over course and distance on his debut for Neil Mulholland last time. Similar conditions should help him go close off a 3lb higher mark, with improvement expected.

Others to follow
Chepstow 6.20 Here's Two, 7.20 Sir Compton.
Newmarket 8.10 Duke Of Bronte.
Uttoxeter 2.30 Pension Madness.

Racing Post Ratings: Simon Turner

Mr Wagyu (2.55 Thirsk, nap)

Built on the good impression he created at Ripon when winning at York last time. There should be more to come and, dropping in class, looks sure to go close.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Yellowhammer (8.40 Newmarket)

The smooth winner of a maiden here in October, Roger Charlton's promising filly can carry on where she left off and make up for lost time.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Saunter (3.55 Ascot)

Unexposed sort who shapes as though he'll enjoy this step back up in trip and the yard is in good form.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Treasuring (5.55 Down Royal)

The Ger Lyons-trained filly won over this 5f trip at Navan last month before going to Royal Ascot for the Queen Mary, in which she finished eighth of the 23 runners. Down in grade here, she makes plenty of appeal and gets the vote to score under Colin Keane.
