Michael Dods is a good trainer of any type of horse but he clearly has a knack with the sprinters judged on the exploits of the likes of Mecca's Angel, Easton Angel and most recently Mabs Cross.

Mabs Cross excelled herself when just missing out by a whisker on second in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot last week and Dods is triple-handed in the Stobart Energy Gosforth Park Cup Handicap at Newcastle (7.30).
