Musselburgh: third-party operator will run the track
Eight races are set to take place at Musselburgh on SaturdayCredit: John Grossick

Newmarket: David Milnes

Burford Brown (3.40 Lingfield, nap)

Showed what he usually does at home when getting off the mark at Newcastle last week and fancied to follow up for the in-form Hugo Palmer. The gelding has the plum draw in stall one.

North: Colin Russell

Ginbar (3.55 Chester, nap)

Course-and-distance winner on testing ground last season. Yet to strike this year but has several solid efforts to his credit. He is now on a feasible mark, and with conditions to suit and a favourable draw, has plenty going for him.

Lambourn: James Burn

Redgrave (4.30 Chester, nap)

Trip should be right up this capable gelding's street, while he will also adore the cut in the ground. He was a smooth winner at Kempton last week and trainer Joe Tuite is optimistic of a similarly bold display.

Others to follow
Bath 2.00 Al Wafi, 3.45 Jack Taylor, 4.20 Bid Adieu, 5.00 Sophosc, 5.35 Orange Suit, 6.10 Here's Alice.

West Country: Andrew King

Secretfact (3.45 Bath, nap)

Has run some of his best races at this course and looks all set for another big show with conditions in his favour.

Others to follow
Bath 2.35 Compton Abbey 3.10 Angelito 4.20 Easy Tiger
Chelmsford 4.35 Bronze Angel

Racing Post Ratings: Simon Turner

Kinloch Pride (6.55 Musselburgh)

She is thriving at present with a victory preceding two solid efforts in defeat over course and distance, and is expected to take advantage of the drop in grade.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Dee Ex Bee(3.35 Doncaster)

Has drawn a blank so far this term but finished runner-up in the Derby and this longer trip may bring out the best in him.

Longshot: Olly Eden

Duke Of Firenze (1:50 Doncaster)

No win for over a year but was unlucky not to at least hit the frame in the Epsom Dash in June off a 13lb higher mark. Not so good recently but set an unrealistic task in Group 2 Qatar Stakes latest. The likely big field and strong pace should suit and providing usual luck in running, he could outrun his huge price with Jim Crowley on-board.

Ireland: Tony O’Hehir

Full Moon (7.10 Leopardstown)

A comfortable one length winner over today's one mile trip at the Curragh three weeks ago, the Aidan O'Brien-trained three-year-old has been raised only 3lb for that success and gets the vote to follow up in the Leopardstown finale with Ryan Moore in the saddle.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

James Tate is an infrequent visitor to Musselburgh, but both his runners there this year have won at 100/30 and 4/1. Implicit, who runs in the 2-y-o conditions race at 2.55, can make it three from three this season for the trainer.
