Graeme Rodway's banker at Newmarket on Saturday
Lezoo
2.25 Newmarket
Lezoo appears to have been put away with this event in mind by Ralph Beckett since her victory in the Princess Margaret at Ascot in July and she should be ready to peak.
She should probably be coming here unbeaten in four starts, too. She was impressive when scoring on her first two runs and her sole defeat at the hands of Mawj in a muddling running of the Duchess Of Cambridge can be forgiven. She raced freely that day in a race where the winner had the run of things and Lezoo was definitely undone by the stop-start early gallop.
She put that behind her when slamming the field in the Princess Margaret, pulling three and a half lengths clear of subsequent Prestige Stakes runner-up Breege. That form is evidently strong and Lezoo has long looked like she could make a Group 1 filly. This is her big chance.
