Newmarket: David Milnes

Affluence (2.30 Huntingdon, nap)

Finally won on the Flat at Lingfield last time when scoring by seven lengths over 1m2f and should get this trip around here. Martin Smith's flashy type has schooled well at home.

North: Richard Young

The Sting (3.50 Wetherby, nap)

Unexposed sort who was far from disgraced on handicap debut at Carlisle last time. Yard going well and pedigree strongly suggests this much longer trip will suit. Big chance of getting off the mark in a weak event.

Others to follow
Huntingdon 2.00 Bossiney Bay, 2.30 Ace Ventura, 4.45 Dream On Dreamer, 5.15 Chesney Brown.
Wetherby 2.10 Snookered, 2.40 Top Ville Ben, 3.15 Isaacstown Lad, 4.20 Ballasalla.

Lambourn: James Burn

Capone (3.40 Huntingdon, nap)

Juvenile hurdler who has done little wrong since switching from the Flat. Old sparring partners Charlie Mann and Noel Fehily can enjoy a final winner before the rider's retirement on Saturday.

Others to follow
Huntingdon 5.15 Lantiern.
Taunton 2.50 Agincourt Reef, 4.00 Poucor, 4.30 Like The Sound.
Wetherby 4.55 Sheshoon Sonny.

West Country: Tim Mitchell

Kahdian (4.45 Huntingdon, nap)

Has proved frustrating over hurdles and fences but has a race of this nature within him. Granted a clear round, he is fancied to finally break his duck.

Others to follow
Huntingdon 3.05 Black Anthem, 4.10 Save The Pennies.
Taunton 2.20 Birds Of Prey, 2.50 Kalaskadesemilley, 3.25 Drops Of Jupitor, 4.00 Teaser, 4.30 Dancing Shadow, 5.05 Mrs Miggins.
Wetherby 3.10 Know The Score.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Annie Bonny(2.50 Taunton, nap)

Looked an improved performer when winning by a wide margin at Sedgefield last week and should make a bold bid to defy a 7lb penalty.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Gonnabegood (5.05 Taunton)

Pulled up over fences last time but had been in fine form over hurdles before that run and reverts back to that sphere.

Longshot: Ben Harris

Passing Oceans (2.50 Taunton)

Shaped well two starts ago in a novice hurdle before finishing a remote sixth last time. With the form of those races working out well since, an opening handicap mark of 101 might prove to be lenient and the return to softer conditions also looks to suit.

During 2018, Richard Newland was 4-9 (44 per cent, +£7.48) with his runners at Huntingdon. He has his first of 2019 in the shape of Red Mix, who is set to line up for the 3.40.
