Handicappers' nap

Bahlwan (Musselburgh 2.30)

Showed improved form when scoring over course and distance last time and has every chance of defying a rise in the weights in this slightly easier race.
Steve Mason

Burning up the gallops

Robert Fitzroy (4.30 Wolverhampton)

Michael Bell's flashy sort has worked well on the watered gallop since his return at Nottingham last month. He's well drawn and is fancied to collect in first-time cheekpieces

Eyecatcher

Yasir (3.25 Wolverhampton)

He was the only one to get involved from off the pace and would have gone closer had he got a clear run early in the straight. It was only from just over a furlong out that he got rolling and he finished well to be placed. He's dropped to a mark 1lb lower than when last successful round here in December.
David Toft

Irish Angle

Scoir Mear (7.40 Killarney)

Winner of a valuable 3m novice handicap at Navan in March, the Tom Mullins-trained nine-year-old was very much in contention when brought down at Punchestown. The 3m2f trip in the Killarney National should not present a problem.
Tony O'Hehir

Ace Tipster

Gabrial The Tiger (3.05 Musselburgh)

Is not the most consistent these days but has already dropped to 1lb below his last winning mark in February and Musselburgh is his track.
Paul Kealy

Speed Figures

Kupa River 3.05 Musselburgh

Has been in fine form this year and can supplement his recent course-and-distance success.
Dave Edwards

Spotlight nap

Bye Bye Hong Kong (6.50 Windsor)

A three-year-old who is getting a hefty weight-for-age allowance from his elders. Successful on his reappearance at Chelmsford, the son of Street Sense is still unexposed and can dictate matters if necessary.
Steve Boow

Dark horse

Gino Wotimean (4.30 Wolverhampton)

Showed plenty of promise in three novice runs and shaped as if this step up in trip should bring about the required improvement needed to go close on his handicap debut.
Sam King

Must-have stat of the day

You must have Gabrial The Tiger on your mind when he turns up over 7f at Musselburgh, as his record at the track reads 111311. He is lining up for the 3.05 at the Scottish track today.
