Handicappers' nap

Gurkha Friend (4.20 Ripon)

Won this race the last two years and returns on the back of a couple of solid runs on the all-weather. He's better on turf and should go close.
Sam Walker

Burning up the gallops

Millions Memories (5.30 Ripon)

The son of Zoffany's win in his maiden at Yarmouth at 40-1 was no fluke and he is fit from some searching work on the peat moss gallop on Racecourse Side.

Eyecatcher

International Guy (5.30 Ripon)

Made Oasis Prince work for his victory in a Beverley novice auction stakes last month and that winner franked the form by winning a handicap off 88 last weekend. The longer trip will suit this three-year-old and he's definitely heading in the right direction.
Rodney Pettinga

Irish Angle

So Perfect (4.25 Naas)

Performed well on her first attempt over seven furlongs in the Group 3 Fred Darling Stakes last month when third, beaten two short heads. Will take all the beating back to six furlongs having shown plenty of ability in top races over the trip last season.
Tony O'Hehir

Ace Tipster

Just Hiss (4.20 Ripon)

Should be sharper after an encouraging seasonal return at Haydock and handles the track after running two big races to place here last year. Weighted to go close.
Paul Kealy

Speed Figures

Gossamer Wings (3.15 Naas)

Only has a maiden success to her name but ran well in some top juvenile sprints last year and with a recent outing under her belt can deservedly add to her tally.
Dave Edwards

Spotlights nap

Kareena Kapoor (4.55 Ripon)

Ran well against good fillies, notably Pretty Pollyanna, in two turf races last June and that form has plenty of substance. Justified favouritism in an all-weather contest at Newcastle when last seen in January and is very interesting off a generous-looking 82 on handicap debut.
Steve Boow

Dark horse

Dalia Grandchamp (3.25 Auteuil)

Showed improved form when narrowly touched off in the Grade 3 Prix Ingre when last seen. This step up in trip ought to suit and she could be a spot of each-way value at a big price.
Dave Revers

Must-have stat of the day

Star Foot has four wins and a second from eight starts at Market Rasen and is 1-23 elsewhere. The eight-year-old goes in the 2m3f handicap chase at (4.35).
