Chelmsford, Thursday
Hammer Gun, drawn widest of all, came late to land the mile Class 4 handicap at odds of 8-1 and now has figures of 111 (3-3) this year. He’ll probably go up 5lb but could still be well treated.

Lingfield, Saturday
Only seven lined up for the 5f 0-105 handicap but they went hard up front and set it up for Kimberella, who swept home late and wide to make a winning debut for Richard Fahey. Bowson Fred did well to hold on for a half-length second after pressing the pace and will be of interest next time.
