A Telescope half-brother to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Sizing John and Grade 2-winning hurdler Anythingforlove heads the entries for the Goffs UK Spring Store Sale at Doncaster next month.

The 301-strong auction, which is set to take place from May 17-18, features a catalogue filled with progeny by leading National Hunt sires and black type pedigrees.

Lot 138, Elms Bloodstock's Telescope half-brother to Sizing John, is one of the highlights alongside a Dunaden half-brother to last week's Ryanair Stayers Hurdle scorer Thyme Hill (234).

Other notable entries include a Presenting half-brother to Irish Grand National hero Freewheelin Dylan (100), consigned by Futurerate Ltd, a Spanish Moon half-brother to the top-class Cilaos Emery (220), who will be sold by Brown Island Stables and a Kayf Tara half-brother to Grade 2 Altcar Novices' Chase scorer Silver Hallmark (101), consigned by Lulham Bloodstock.

Goffs UK's managing director Tim Kent said: "Shortly after our team started inspections earlier this year it was apparent that there was likely to be unprecedented demand for places at this sale and that has indeed been the case.

"Early feedback also indicated that there was a clear increase in the quality of horse being aimed at the sale and that standard has followed right through our inspections which bodes very well for the sale in a few weeks.

"The result is arguably the finest selection of stores we have catalogued for the Doncaster Spring Sale and clearly the best catalogue we have produced in recent years."

He continued: "The higher demand and increased quality means we have produced a larger catalogue, 301 horses this year, and expanded the sale to two high-class days on May 17 and 18 which will offer some of the finest stores to the market this year.

"As per the traditional format, the Spring HIT/P2P Sale will be held on the days following the stores on May 19-20 and will once again offer two days of elite pointers and form horses alongside horses-in-training and the annual Million In Mind dispersal.

"Entries close on April 23 and we look forward to welcoming the who’s who of the NH world to Doncaster for what shapes as an exciting four days."

Horses-in-training and point-to-point entries can be made online, while the catalogue will be released on Tuesday, May 4.
