Mons racecourse to host new Belgian and French Auctav sale
National Hunt prospects and trotters are to come under the hammer on October 22
Auctav will break new ground by hosting a new mixed sale of National Hunt horses and trotters at the Belgian racecourse of Mons on October 22.
The event is designed to cater only for local breeders from the host country as well as northern France, an area which has been responsible for a number of very smart horses including Tingle Creek and Celebration Chase winner Greaneteen, Bravemansgame, Itchy Feet and Solwhit.
More details will follow in the catalogue in due course but pre-selection includes foals and yearlings by stallions such as Bathyron, Headman, Silverwave and Spanish Moon, Guignol, Morpheus, Goliath du Berlais, Prince Gibraltar, Brave Mansonnien, Taj Mahal, Choeur du Nord and Herald the Dawn.
The standardbred selection is to feature progeny of the likes of Face Time Bourbon, Love You, Propulsion, Booster Winner, Espoir Prestance, Uniclove, Hooker Berry, Brillantissime, Mister JP and Bird Parker.
Directed by veterinarian and breeder Dr Bernard Stoffel, it is being supported by EQWOS, a promotional entity for equestrian business in this cross-border region.
