Goffs has announced the appointment of Amanda Zetterholm to the role of French agent, she having previously worked in a number of roles for the Aga Khan Studs in France since 2012.

Zetterholm, who worked in client relations, nominations and most recently as assistant racing manager, also previously worked with leading jumps trainer David Cottin in Chantilly and is a former assistant to trainer Mike de Kock. She begin her new role on May 1.

Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby said: “We're delighted to welcome Amanda to the Goffs team. Her experience and network of clients further strengthens our roster of international agents and follows the recent appointments of Jacob West and Mark Richards as US and British agents respectively.

"Amanda’s focus will be on converting the increasing interest in Irish sales from France into greater attendance by French buyers at Kildare Paddocks, primarily for the Orby and November Sales as well as promoting our flagship National Hunt sales.

"We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Gavin Hernon over the last number of years as our French agent and wish him further success in his burgeoning training career."

Zetterholm said: “Goffs has a superb reputation in France for producing top class results and the quality of their service. Recent Orby Sale graduates illustrate the point, featuring Group 1 winners Channel, Gear Up and Technician to name just three, while November Foal Sale topper Reina Madre looks a Classic contender this season - and so it's no surprise that interest in Goffs is on the rise amongst French buyers.

"I look forward to being part of the customer-focused team in Goffs and promoting the top-class catalogues to owners, trainers and agents in France before assisting with their visits to Kildare."
