Leading yards set to be represented at Tattersalls Ascot December Sale
Pavilion Stakes third No Nonsense an eyecatcher from Saffron House Stables
The Tattersalls Ascot December Sale kicks off on Monday with a number of classy wildcard entries set to headline the 78-lot event which features both National Hunt and Flat performers.
The yards of Nicky Henderson, Olly Murphy and Gordon Elliott consign six horses between them while Pavilion Stakes third No Nonsense (Lot 47) is the standout name in the list of wildcard lots added to the auction.
One of three late entries from George Boughey's Saffron House Stables, the five-year-old gelded son of Acclamation is out of Gift Of Music, a winning Cadeaux Genereux granddaughter of the great sprinter Lochsong.
Boughey also consigns Widaad (46), a winning four-year-old Muhaarar filly bred by Shadwell. She is a half-sister to three winners out of the Star Stakes winner Mudaaraah, who is a daughter of Wissal, an unraced full sister to Champagne Stakes winner Bahhare and a half-sister to the dual Group 1-winning miler Bahri.
Other lots include the Elliott-consigned O Connell Street (66), a winner over hurdles and fences, Eskendash (65), offered by Warren Chase Stables and a winner on the all-weather and over hurdles, and Khagan (40), a son of Le Havre who won on his last start for David O'Meara and who was Group-placed in France for Andre Fabre. There is also a small selection of yearlings.
Tattersalls Live Internet Bidding will be available for those who are unable to attend the sale in person and those wishing to avail of this facility must register with Tattersalls prior to the start of the sale at
