Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale catalogue out with high-class entries
Alpha King and Crossed Baton head the Horses in Training section
The catalogue for the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up and Horses in Training Sale is now available, with 233 breeze-up two-year-olds and 36 horses in training currently entered.
The Breeze-Up Sale - which will take place from April 28-30 - has produced 30 individual Listed/Group winners since 2018, including last year's Long Distance Cup scorer Trueshan and Palace House Stakes victor Far Above.
Among the leading sires represented with two-year-olds are Australia, Camelot, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Nathaniel and Oasis Dream, while the twice-placed Kingman gelding Alpha King (lot 28), consigned by Juddmonte, and the Group 2-placed Crossed Baton (21) headline the Horses in Training catalogue.
Owners and trainers also have the added incentive of three lots who are entered for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes, 14 lots who are eligible for French premiums, 11 lots who are eligible for Great British Bonuses, nine lots that holds entries in the Swedish Derby and Oaks Series, and six who are entered for the Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes.
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “The Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale has a long established reputation for producing top-class performers at all levels of the market, and last year’s Ascot Group 2 winner Trueshan, bought for 31,000gns, is another fine advertisement for the sale.
"This year’s Guineas Breeze-Up has been very well supported by the leading consignors and features two-year-olds which will appeal to a cross-section of buyers, alongside a number of high-class proven performers.”
The breeze will be shown live on the Tattersalls website and Facebook page from 9am on Wednesday, April 28. Catalogues will be available from Tattersalls and from all Tattersalls representatives from Wednesday, April 7.
