Dubawi, Frankel, Sea The Stars and Siyouni among sires set for Aga Khan mares
The brilliant Arc heroine Zarkava is set to visit Lope De Vega
The Aga Khan Studs has released mating plans for the operation's blue-blooded broodmare band, with their leading lights set to visit stallions such as Dubawi, Frankel, Lope De Vega, Sea The Stars and Siyouni.
Zarkava, an unbeaten champion on the track and dam of three stakes winners including Group 1 winner and sire Zarak, is expecting a foal by Siyouni this season and will then visit Lope De Vega.
Two daughters, the Listed-winning and Group 1-placed Frankel filly Zarkamiya and Listed victrix Zaykava, will be covered by Siyouni and Dubawi respectively. Zerkaza, by the late, great Dalakhani and dam of the stakes-placed Zeyrek, is due to give birth to a foal by Dariyan this spring.
Lope De Vega will receive further strong support with French 1,000 Guineas and Prix du Moulin heroine Ervedya among his book. The daughter of Siyouni recently produced a filly by Kitten’s Joy. The Ballylinch Stud stalwart will also welcome Tarana, who delivered a Frankel half-brother to multiple top-level victress Tarnawa.
Ervedya's dam, Elva, is set to visit first-season sire Zarak. The Haras de Bonneval sire is also booked in for Daltama, the dam of Sheema Classic winner Dolniya, plus Group 1 winner and Arc third Shareta, who has foaled a colt by Le Havre.
Prix Saint-Alary winner Siyarafina has produced her first foal, a filly by Medaglia D’Oro, and has been booked in for Gilltown Stud's Sea The Stars. The leading sire will also receive Daryakana, the dam of young stallion Dariyan who is expecting a Lope De Vega foal.
Siyarafina's dam, Siyenica, a half-sister to Siyouni, gave birth to a Sea The Stars filly this year and will visit Frankel. Also among the Banstead Manor Stud resident's dancecard are the Group 1-winning Dolniya and the top level-placed Veda, who is expecting to Siyouni.
Sayana, another relation to Siyouni, is carrying to Kingman and will then visit Too Darn Hot. Siyouni himself will receive the likes of juvenile Group 2 winner Raydara, who has a Sea The Stars colt, and the Group 1-placed Eziyra, who gave birth to a filly by Dubawi.
Ebiyza, who hails from the same maternal line as Eziyra, has already produced Ebaiyra and had a Sea The Stars colt this year. She is booked in for a date with Kingman.
