Group 1-winning juvenile and former Darley sire Charming Thought is on the move and will relocate to March Hare Stud for the 2023 breeding season.

A three-time winner for Godolphin and Charlie Appleby, starting with a victory at Lingfield in September of his juvenile year, the ten-year-old's career highlight came when defeating the likes of Ivawood and Muhaarar in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.

The son of Oasis Dream, who was bred by Merry Fox Stud, sold to John Ferguson for 625,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in 2013.

A sibling to five winners and out of the stakes-winning Indian Ridge mare Annabelle's Charm, Charming Thought comes from the family of Racing Post Trophy winner Aristotle and Criterium de Saint-Cloud and Canadian International scorer Ballingarry.

Having previously stood at Dalham Hall Stud, he had produced useful winners such as this season's Listed Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes winner Charterhouse, five-time scorer Totally Charming and five-time winner Sky Blue Thinking.

March Hare Stud's Luke Gedge-Gibson said: "We're really excited to be standing the quality Middle Park Stakes winner by Oasis Dream at March Hare Stud for the 2023 season. We feel he is a great addition to the stallion roster for breeders."

He continued: "We would like to take this chance to thank Godolphin for the opportunity to purchase Charming Thought and for organising the sale.

"We are happy for private viewings and also will be holding stallion parades for breeders in January for all the stallions at March Hare Stud to be viewed."

Charming Thought will stand for an opening fee of £3,000, with breeding rights available at £6,000.

The roster is headed by Roseman, a Listed-winning son of Kingman who was also second in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, at £5,000, while the Graded-winning Scat Daddy entire Legends Of War will remain at £4,000.

The 2,000 Guineas runner-up Tip Two Win is also unchanged at £2,500, while Royal Ascot-winning two-year-old Southern Hills stands at £2,000. Master Carpenter, responsible for dual winner Princess Naomi from his first crop, is priced at £1,000 alongside Mr Scaramanga.

The smart dual-purpose performer and sire Diplomat is relocating under the LM Stallions banner to Longford House Stud, where he will stand for €1,500.
