Daddys Lil Darling to go under the hammer at Fasig-Tipton

Gainesway, as agent for the late Nancy Polk's Normandy Farm, will offer Grade 1 winner and millionaire Daddys Lil Darling at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton November Sale in Kentucky.

The four-year-old filly will be offered as a broodmare prospect.

A daughter of top international sire Scat Daddy, Daddys Lil Darling was bred and raced by Polk, who owned Normandy Farm. The filly won Graded stakes at two, three and four, with her most significant win in the Grade 1 American Oaks over Santa Anita Park's turf course.

A versatile dual-surface threat, Daddys Lil Darling also demonstrated tremendous ability over dirt.

She captured the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes at two and had impressive second-place performances in the Kentucky Oaks and Ashland Stakes at three.

Over the course of her career, she earned more than $1.3 million and won or placed in 11 Graded stakes races, the highest number for any son or daughter of Scat Daddy.

"A top physical to complement her proven Grade 1 ability, Daddys Lil Darling will appeal to all buyers looking for an outstanding young broodmare prospect," said Michael Hernon, Gainesway's director of sales.

Daddys Lil Darling is a half-sister to three stakes horses, including millionaire Mongolian Saturday, winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, and multiple stakes winner Victoryasecret. Her dam, Miss Hot Salsa, was a stakes winner who finished second in the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap in 1998. Daddys Lil Darling's first three dams are all Graded stakes producers.

Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning added: "Daddys Lil Darling was one of the top fillies in North America each year from two to four, on both turf and dirt. Her pedigree and race record make her highly appealing to buyers from around the world."

The Fasig-Tipton November Sale will be held on November 4 at the Newtown Paddocks sale grounds near Lexington.
