Crackerjack week for Camacho continues with new stakes winner
Daughter Signora Cabello strikes at York
Signora Cabello continued a fine week for Yeomanstown Stud resident Camacho by taking the Listed Langleys Solicitors British EBF Marygate Fillies' Stakes for juveniles at York on Friday.
It was only on Sunday that the stallion was represented by his first Group 1 winner when another of his fillies, the year older Teppal, landed the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches at Longchamp.
Camacho, a Danehill half-brother to successful young sire Showcasing, stands at Yeomanstown at a bargain fee of €7,500.

He now has 13 stakes winners, many of them more in the mould of Signora Cabello: precocious and pacey. They also include Flying Childers Stakes scorer Green Door and Prix de Cabourg winner My Catch, as well as other early bird talents Ambiance, Arctic Feeling, Hurryupharriet, Star Rover and Winning Express.
Indeed, Signora Cabello is the second winner of the Marygate Stakes for Camacho after Beldale Memory, who struck in 2013.
The John Quinn-trained filly owes a fair share of her sharpness to her female family.
Bred by Diomed Bloodstock, she is the last foal out of the late Night Shift mare Journalist, who won over 6f and finished second in the Princess Margaret Stakes at two. The dam produced eight winners including La Presse and Plagiarism, both of whom were black type-placed at two.
Moreover, Journalist was a half-sister to Flying Childers Stakes winner Sheer Viking, while her dam, Schlefalora, was in turn a half-sister to Las Meninas, who won the Silver Flash Stakes and finished second in the Phoenix Stakes at two and added the 1,000 Guineas to her resume at three.
Kingsgate Native, who was so physically forward that he beat his elders to win the Nunthorpe at two, is out of a daughter of a half-sister to Schlefalora and Las Meninas.
It cost Richard Knight and trainer's son Sean Quinn just £20,000 to buy that precocious pedigree when Signora Cabello was offered by Lodge Park Stud at Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last autumn.
