Arthur Serres given role as technical director of Arqana
Arthur Serres has been appointed as Arqana's new technical director. He will join Arqana on July 1 for the Summer Sale, before taking over the technical management of Arqana from August 1, succeeding Alexis Renault who has held the position since 2016.
The latter said: "After spending three great years at Arqana and experiencing many wonderful moments and meeting fantastic people whom I would like to thank, I have decided to seize other life opportunities.
"I continue to be passionate about horses and racing and I'll remain connected to this field, particularly through my duties as a steward and as a volunteer with several racecourses."
Arqana expressed its gratitude to Renault for his commitment and contribution as well as the achievements of the technical department in recent years.
Serres was most recently in charge of the site and racecourse management of Toulouse racecourse since 2015. Before that, he managed the racecourse and training centre of La Teste racecourse in 2014.
Arthur graduated from the engineering school of Purpan, and during his studies completed internships at Ballylinch Stud and the Aga Khan Studs.
Arthur Serres said: "After two great experiences at racecourses in the south west in recent years, I'm very excited to join the Arqana team.
"I'd like to thank the presidents and teams of the racecourses on which I've worked, but also the socio-professionals for the quality of our relations.
"I am taking on this new challenge full of desire. I'm delighted to join such a proactive structure, whose members are fully committed."
