Katsumi Yoshida buys Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Dream And Do
Classic-winning daughter of Siyouni sold in private deal
Katsumi Yoshida has purchased this month's Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Dream And Do in a private deal brokered by Emmanuel de Seroux of Narvick International.
De Seroux told Jour de Galop, who first reported the story: “Dream And Do is a very pretty filly who is precocious with abundant class and speed, and she comes from an excellent maternal line.
“She will continue her career with Frederic Rossi before retiring to Northern Farm in Japan. She matches perfectly the type of mare that Katsumi likes to have.”
Dream And Do previously carried the silks of her breeder Haras du Logis Saint Germain.
She was sent out by Rossi to win three of her four starts at two, including the Prix Miesque, and ran second in the Prix de la Grotte on her seasonal bow before defeating Speak Of The Devil by a nose to land the Pouliches.
Dream And Do, who holds an entry in the Prix de Diane next month, is by leading French-based sire Siyouni, source of fellow Classic winners Ervedya, Laurens and Sottsass.
She is the first foal out of the placed Librettist mare Venetias Dream, a half-sister to six winners including L'Enjoleuse, the dam of three-time Group 1-winning miler Charm Spirit.
