The catalogue for the re-branded Goffs UK Spring Sale at Doncaster has been published online.

This year's event will be called the Summer Sale and incorporates the Spring Store, Spring Horses in Training and Point-to-Point and August Sales.

It will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 28 and 29.

The Doncaster Summer Sale will hold the Spring Store Sale, which comprises 228 entries, on Tuesday from 10am.

The catalogue for the store section of the sale, whose graduates include Copperhead, Emitom, If The Cap Fits, Midnight Shadow and Ramses De Teillee, was published online in May and all horses have now been assigned official lot numbers.

The second and final day of the sale on Wednesday will commence at 10am with the August Sale Store Session featuring 66 lots.

The August Stores will be immediately followed by the Spring Horses in Training and Point-to-Point Sale, which will offer 179 lots.

Point-to-point horses catalogued include Red Lion Lad, a son of Flemensfirth who was an impressive ten-length winner of his debut for Colin Bowe at Ballyarthur, and Poldark Cross, a son of Shantou who was an 18-length winner for Mick Goff at Ballyragget.

The Million In Mind dispersal, often a highlight of the Spring Horses in Training Sale, will once again feature this year.

It features six horses including the hurdle winner Archie Brown, dual chase winner Timoteo and Grand Roi, who is unbeaten in two starts over hurdles.

Goffs UK managing director Tim Kent said: “The Spring Store and Horses in Training/Point-to-Point Sales are our largest National Hunt sales of the year and in a tough 2020, we are delighted to now have a catalogue out and a new date confirmed to offer them.

"This year will see a small change to the Spring Sale’s traditional format as the compacted sale calendar has required that the August Sale be incorporated and thus, the sale has been rebranded the Doncaster Summer Sale."

He added: “What has not changed is that once again we have been very well supported with some outstanding stores, point-to-pointers and horses-in-training and, as in previous years, the sale will feature the annual Million In Mind Dispersal.

"So, despite the new date and a new name, the spirit of the Spring Sale is very much alive as it embodies the very essence of our goal to offer the best NH horses of all ages in one catalogue.”

Supplementary entries for the sale are being accepted.
