Andreas Putsch’s boutique Haras de Saint Pair was designed to produce horses for the major occasion.

The polyglot German has enjoyed his participation around the globe and even made a reconnaissance mission to Saudi Arabia several years before bringing Glycon for a tilt at the Red Sea Turf at the country’s recent lucrative showpiece meeting.

However, he is keen to use it as an illustration and something of a warning of his most pressing concern for European racing, and for his adopted home of France in particular.
