Kitty Trice speaks to Newsells Park's Julian Dollar about Desert Crown's sire
In an industry where people can be quick to judge, Newsells Park Stud’s Julian Dollar must have felt plenty of satisfaction in seeing Nathaniel’s name back in the spotlight when his son Desert Crown sauntered to Derby glory at Epsom.
But it is about so much more than that as we walk through an office filled with pictorial tributes to previous champion graduates of the Hertfordshire-based operation.
The long-time general manager is not afraid to speak his mind and, having marvelled at the recent arrival of some much-needed torrential rain, he is in the mood to raise a passionate call to arms for Newsells’ long-standing son of Galileo, the winner of the King George and Eclipse and now responsible for the small matter of six individual Group 1 winners.
