German breeder has enjoyed notable recent success with juveniles

Andreas Jacobs, who is no longer required to oversee Newsells Park Stud after its sale in 2021 and made the decision to trim down the broodmare band at Gestut Fahrhof a little while earlier, still managed an achievement he is rightfully proud of last year.

As well as maintaining its position as premier vendor at the last BBAG Yearling Sale, Fahrhof was responsible for the winners of two out of the four domestic Group races held in Germany for two-year-olds.

Quantanamera, a Lope De Vega filly from a family the stud has nurtured for nearly 20 years, landed the Preis der Winterkonigin at Baden-Baden by almost nine lengths for Peter Schiergen and owner Jurgen Sartori, while Kingman’s Habana claimed the Zukunfts-Rennen earlier in the season at the same track in the Fahrhof silks before a disappointing run in the Prix Marcel Boussac.
