Jimmy Two Times snapped up to stand at Gestut Hofgut Heymann

Jimmy Two Times, a high-class sprinter and miler for Andre Fabre, has been retired to stand at Gestüt Hofgut Heymann in western Germany.

He is the stud's second new stallion recruit for 2019 after Wild Chief, a Group 1-placed son of Doyen.

A six-year-old grey son of Kendargent, Jimmy Two Times was bred by Francis Teboul and Jean Boniche out of the winning Anabaa mare Steel Woman – who in turn is out of the German Group 3 winner Saperlipoupette.

The grey was originally bought as a yearling at the Arqana October Yearling Sale for €85,000 by Crispin de Moubray on behalf of Haras de Saint-Pair.

He won twice and was Listed-placed at two, before winning the Group 3 Prix de la Porte Maillot and Listed Prix Marchand D'Or at three, when he also ran a close third to Signs Of Blessing in the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest.

After landing the Group 3 Prix Edmond Blanc by three and a half lengths on his four-year-old bow he was bought by Godolphin, for whom he took the Group 2 Prix du Muguet that season.

Last year at five he finished second in the Muguet and the Group 3 Prix Messidor, and was third in three Group 3 contests.

Jimmy Two Times, now owned by a syndicate managed by Marcell Pargmann, will command a fee of €5,000 and will go on show at a breeders' day at Gestüt Röttgen on January 26.
