Goffs UK unveils classy initial entries for Goodwood Sale
Goffs UK has unveiled the initial entries for the second Goodwood Sale, which will take place on Wednesday, July 31 during the Qatar Glorious Goodwood Festival.
The latest boutique auction to be hosted by Goffs UK takes place in the winner's enclosure immediately after racing on Qatar Sussex Stakes day. Five lots have been entered so far, including four in training in Britain and one from the US. The entries are:
Holy Legal - champion sprinter in Uruguay in 2017-18 and the winner of 13 of her 27 career starts, including seven at Graded or Listed level. The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor is out of the Grade 1-placed mare Hora Legal and is a half-sister to Stakes winners El Demolidor and Where's The Drink. Currently in training in the US, she has placed third on her last two starts at Arlington Park
Hurcle - a ready winner of his sole start to date over 5f at Newcastle for Archie Watson. The two-year-old son of Exceed And Excel is the third foal out of a two-time Group 3-placed daughter of Whipper.Little Kim - the Group 3-winning two-year-old will be offered in foal to upwardly mobile sire Showcasing. The daughter of Garswood is out of the smart producer Primo Lady and is a half-sister to Queen Mary Stakes third Out Of The Flames and dual juvenile winner War Storm.
Nate The Great - a two-time winner by Nathaniel who finished third to Derby hero Anthony Van Dyck in the Lingfield Classic trial and was last seen filling the same position in the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy. The three-year-old colt boasts a Racing Post Rating of 103.
Red Armada - a progressive son of Invincible Spirit who has won his last two starts, including a class three handicap at Ascot. Prior to those efforts he was beaten just a head by subsequent Britannia Handicap scorer Biometric. A half-brother to the Listed-winning Dux Scholar, Red Armada shares his page with the Group 1 heroine Persuasive.
