Coolmore name juveniles out of celebrity mares Chicquita, Shastye, and Tepin
Siblings to Gleneagles, Found and Wembley also among the notable registrations
The Coolmore partners are no strangers to dishing out the odd auspicious name, think talents like Galileo, Camelot and Order Of St George.
And the latest Horse Racing Ireland registration supplement reveals that the powerful ownership group have allocated names to some of their best-bred two-year-olds, including those out of celebrity mares such as Chicquita, Red Evie, Seventh Heaven and Tepin.
Among those set to race in the famous navy blue silks of Mrs John Magnier are One Way, a full-sister to four-time Group 1 winner Misty For Me, herself the dam of US Navy Flag and Roly Poly, Emily Dickinson, a daughter of Dubawi and Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita, and a full-sister to the brilliant Arc heroine Found in Champagne.
Other notables name include Roman Chariot, a Galileo colt out of Clipper Logistics' Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Rosdhu Queen, a Galileo half-brother to top-class miler Excelebration and Lancaster Bomber in Porthos, and Hope Diamond, a full-sister to Venice Beach and a half-sister to the brilliant Danedream.
Derrick Smith's famous purple and white colours have been carried to victory by the likes of dual Derby hero Camelot and the top-class Mastercraftsman.
Among the juveniles set to carry those same silks are Opulent, a daughter of Dubawi and Irish Oaks scorer Bracelet, Toy, the latest produce of the outstanding You'resothrilling and therefore a full-sister to Gleneagles, Marvellous and Happily, and an American Pharoah colt out of Yorkshire Oaks winner Tapestry named Leo The Great.
Also named are Georges Seurat, a Galileo colt out of multiple American Grade 1 scorer and $6 million purchase Stellar Wind, and Embellish, a full-sister to talents such as Johannes Vermeer, Wembley and Elizabeth Browning.
Swirl, a daughter of Galileo out of American champion Tepin, has been registered under Michael Tabor's name, as has Samuel Pepys, a Galileo colt out of top juvenile Tiggy Wiggy, Over The Rainbow, a daughter of Dubawi and Irish and Yorkshire Oaks scorer Seventh Heaven, while her Galileo full-sister has been named Sweet And Lovely.
Georg von Opel's Westerberg banner has appeared alongside the Coolmore partners as co-owner of rising stars such as High Definition and Point Lonsdale.
Among the juveniles registered to Westerberg Ireland is Skylark, the Galileo sister to Group 1 winners Japan and Mogul who became the most expensive yearling filly in the world last year when she topped Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale at 3,400,000gns.
Other eyecatching names include Cologne, a Galileo half-brother to Tepin and Lustre, a full-sister to the ill-fated Investec Derby runner-up Cliffs Of Moher.
