Three horses to include in a multiple . . .

Donna’s Double (3.00 Ayr)

He has taken to life as a chaser rather well with two promising runs over fences including a win at Ayr in early January in challenging conditions. The wind surgery he had in November seems to have improved him as he travelled much better in that win at Ayr so today’s step up in class should not be too much of a challenge. He is still lightly raced and it looks as though there will be more to come.

Oscars Moonshine (4.30 Exeter)

He has barely been seen on a racetrack since completing a hat-trick in October 2020 which included a course-and-distance win. Now with two runs under his belt this season he will have come on and will appreciate today’s longer trip as his best work has been done over these longer distances. He was in with a chance when last seen but a big error two out cost him all his momentum. If he can stay error-free this time he should be in with a shout despite being at the top end of the weights.

Positive (7.00 Kempton)

He looked like he could be a classy prospect as a juvenile, beating the likes of Vertem Futurity winner and eventual 2,000 Guineas winner Kameko along with going close behind brilliant two-year-old Pinatubo. He has run in some big races here and in France, so there is talent. But he fell by the wayside after those early exploits and then was off for nearly two years. He made his reappearance this summer and has been progressing well since being gelded. He did not not take the home bend at Lingfield well after a strong start, however, he pulled off a sensational win over a mile on the all-weather at Wolverhampton which will set him up well for this.
