Paul Kealy's play of the day at Cheltenham
Easysland
12.40 Cheltenham
Easysland earned an official mark of 167 on this cross-country track after thrashing none other than Tiger Roll at the festival in 2020, but it's fair to say he completely lost the plot when first joining Jonjo O'Neill.
He showed nothing last year, and never travelled in any of his three races over traditional fences, and while he did show up for a fair way at the festival the end result was the same (pulled up).
However, despite being beaten a long way on both starts this term he has travelled with a lot more verve in the early stages.
Last time at Cheltenham he lasted a lot longer than he has for a while, hitting an in-running low of 8 compared to a Betfair SP of 55 and travelled really sweetly until just after the third-last.
To these eyes that's a big sign he's on the way back to some sort of form, and with a mark of just 134 and 10st 2lb on his back on a course where he has form figures of 1142P (the fourth off a mark of 167 in this) he is surely well worth taking a chance on.
