WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR - BOODLES FRED WINTER 2023

down

The field jumped off on the back of two false starts. A tremendously competitive event, with only six of the 21 runners having previously contested a handicap. The gallop wasn’t strong and several were in contention after the second-last. JAZZY MATTY was fitted with a tongue-tie and cheekpieces, and proved to be a progressive sort who turned in his best effort on handicap debut, showing a fine attitude to land the spoils. Agonisingly close at the line, Byker and Risk Belle both were beaten by a neck.
