Worthadd to take up residence at Haras de Longechaux in France
Son of Dubawi stood at Haras de Pau-Gelos this year
Worthadd will relocate to Haras de Longechaux near Besancon for the 2020 breeding season, after standing a single season at Haras de Pau-Gelos this year.
The 12-year-old son of Dubawi joined the Irish National Stud in 2014, where he held court for five seasons, and has sired a 22 winners at an impressive 76 per cent winners-to-runners strike rate.
Among his offspring is Ignacius Reilly, his second-crop son who landed this year's Czech 2,000 Guineas as well as finishing third in the Czech Derby.
He enjoyed another moment in the sun when one of his first-crop colts, later named Bustam, topped the 2017 Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Breeze-Up Sale at £130,000.
Worthadd was a dual Group 2 winner in Italy, including in the country's Derby, and proved he was no local hero by running second to Canford Cliffs in the Lockinge Stakes.
He was bred by Compagnia Generale out of the winning Rahy mare Wigman, a half-sister to the dam of German Derby hero Dai Jin from the family of Group 1-winning fillies Preseli and Valley Of Gold and last year's Prix de Diane runner-up Musis Amica.
Worthadd will stand alongside Arakan and Vif Monsieur on the Longechaux roster and will remain at a €2,800 fee.
