Saeed Bin Suroor unleashes the well-bred Alfurat River for the first start of his career in this eight-runner contest at Doncaster and will be hoping the colt can add to his record with juveniles at the track.

The Godolphin homebred is by the operation's flagship sire Dubawi out of the Listed-winning Green Desert mare Suez, making him a half-brother to Lyric Of Light.

Lyric Of Light was unbeaten in three starts at two, including the May Hill Stakes and the Fillies' Mile.

She contested the 1,000 Guineas on her only start at three, when she finished last of the 17 runners behind Homecoming Queen, but was subsequently disqualified after she failed a post-race urine test for a banned substance.

Suez has produced three other winners alongside Lyric Of Light including the juvenile scorers Bitter Lake and Andrassy Avenue.

She is descended from Reprocolor, a daughter of Jimmy Reppin who was one of three foundation mares for Meon Valley Stud and produced Irish Oaks heroine Colorspin - later the dam of top-level performers Opera House, Kayf Tara and Zee Zee Top.

The nick with Green Desert mares has proved fruitful for Dubawi having produced 20 winners from 29 runners with five of those being stakes performers including dual Group 1 hero Makfi.
