Norfolk Stakes-bound Vintage Brut among the horses entered for London Sale

Norfolk Stakes contender Vintage Brut is among the first batch of horses in training confirmed for the fifth edition of the Goffs London Sale, which takes place on the eve of Royal Ascot later this month.

The son of Dick Turpin heads into the two-year-old event on the back of landing the Listed National Stakes at Sandown for trainer Tim Easterby and owners Lovely Bubbly Racing.

Vintage Brut is not the only juvenile to be entered for the auction with the Joseph O'Brien-trained No Needs Never, who was runner-up in a Cork maiden on his only start, the Robert Cowell-trained Pocket Dynamo - last seen winning at Longchamp - and Decisive Action, who won his maiden first time out at the Curragh, all set to join him.

The John Hayden-trained Gee Rex is another intriguing entrant as he finished fourth behind Aidan O'Brien's exciting Marble Hill Stakes scorer Fairyland.

Older horses with international appeal include the Listed-winning Marathon Man, the recent winner Mr Reckless and Shakour, a half-brother to Order Of St George who was fourth behind in Rostropovich in the Listed Dee Stakes.

The breeding stock entries are of course headed by Landikusic, the sister to Zoffany offered in foal to Frankel, and Group 1 heroine Miss Beatrix.

"The ability to purchase a horse on the eve of Royal Ascot and see it run in your colours during the most prestigious week in international Flat racing has really caught the imagination of buyers from around the world while we have also focused strongly on securing horses with potential for markets such as Hong Kong and Australia.

"The Breeding Stock element looks to be stronger than ever, headed by Landikusic in foal to Frankel."
