Mattia Cadrobbi pledges reform as new president of ANAC

The new president of the Italian Thoroughbred Breeders' Association (ANAC) Mattia Cadrobbi said his tenure would be one of "few words but concrete actions" as he made his first statement after his appointment.
Cadrobbi, 39, is well known in the industry as a breeder of both purebred Arabians and racehorses, and has been looking after the stallion career of Requinto in Turin. ANAC host's Italy's keynote yearling sale as well as looking after the interests of industry participants.
He said: "For placing their trust in me, I would like to thank the new ANAC Council, the outgoing president Massimo Parri and the vice-president Cesare Cava, with whom I share programmes, objectives and ideas for the development of the Association.
"I am grateful and proud to be able to count on the decisive contribution of Massimo Parri (Le Gi breeding), Isabella Bezzera (Razza Del Sole), Cesare Cava (Finanza Locale Consulting) and Francesca Turri, who with their experience and professionalism will support me and the new board in the decisive choices that we will have to face.
"My tenure will be characterised by a very rigorous management of few words but concrete actions, aimed at achieving all the set objectives.
"The main commitment will be to safeguard and relaunch Italian breeding, for which we will act firmly and decisively by confronting the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and the political parties of the current government to overcome all the regulatory and bureaucratic obstacles which have stopped the development and growth of our breeding in recent years."
