John Tuthill hopes for Tattersalls supremacy with Group 1 half-brother
Owenstown consigns Middle Park sibling for Kangyu International Racing
Owenstown Stud’s John Tuthill has his fingers crossed that there will be a second fine result at Newmarket within a few days for his Hong Kong clients when he offers a half-brother to recent Middle Park Stakes winner Supremacy during Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Tuthill has produced a son of Cotai Glory and Triggers Broom for market as lot 500, who comes under the hammer on Thursday, having sold Supremacy for £65,000 last year on behalf of breeders Kangyu International Racing.
"They raced Cotai Glory and bought some mares to go to him, they board with me," he explained. "They’re very enthusiastic and one of the mares that they bought was in foal to Mehmas. The result was Supremacy, who was sold at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale at Doncaster last year.
"It’s the consignor’s dream update, at least people will come and look, and he’s a very good looking horse.
"It’s lovely that people who are new to the breeding game have a bit of success and a bit of encouragement. If, as a result of this, it can attract more people to do what they’ve done, that would be good for the game too."
