Dual European champion Cracksman has become the latest young stallion to sire his first foal, with a chestnut filly arriving at Newsells Park Stud on Wednesday.

Not only is the filly the first progeny of Cracksman, a four-time Group 1 winner, but she is notably well-bred too, as she is out of Amber Silk, a winning full-sister to the Irish 1,000 Guineas and E.P Taylor Stakes heroine Just The Judge.

Julian Dollar, general manager of Newsells Park, described the new arrival as: "A neat attractive foal. She looks well-balanced, bright and alert."

Cracksman was European Champion at three and four, and is best remembered for his back-to-back victories in the Champion Stakes, races he won by an aggregate of 13 lengths, having seen off Poet's Word by seven lengths in 2017 and Crystal Ocean by six some 12 months later.

He also won the Coronation Cup and the Prix Ganay and retired with a peak Racing Post Rating of 131, making him the highest-rated progeny of Frankel.

He retired to Darley's Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket and was well supported during his first season, having covered a book of 147 mares that included no fewer than 97 who are closely related to Group winners and 61 individual stakes performers.

Cracksman will stand the upcoming season at Dalham Hall at a fee of £25,000.
