Change is long overdue and for the greater good this report must be acted upon

Some of them will not like it, and they may protest rather loudly, but what is laid out in the BHA-commissioned bloodstock review's report is for the greater good.

It is not a perfect report, and there will be those who wanted its teeth to be sharper and the recommendations more specific. Yet if implemented, the bloodstock industry, and in particular the sales ring and most of those who frequent it, will be in a better place than they are now.

When the BHA launched the review into the buying and selling of horses, and then when the Racing Post published an investigation on the subject, there were those who screamed there was nothing to see and that almost all in the garden was rosy. Such claims appeared laughable then and have been confirmed as such now.
