Group 3 scorer Mahsoob joins Hedgeholme Stud roster
Son of Dansili also landed the Wolferton Handicap at Royal Ascot
Group 3 winner Mahsoob has been retired from racing and will begin his stallion career at Hedgeholme Stud in County Durham at a fee of £2,000.
The Hamdan Al Maktoum homebred, a son of Dansili, was trained by John Gosden throughout his career to win five races from nine starts.
After a winning debut at the back-end of his three-year-old season, he reappeared at four to win three races on the bounce including the Listed Wolferton Handicap at Royal Ascot.
On his first start at five, Mahsoob returned to winning ways when taking out the Group 3 Earl of Sefton Stakes at Newmarket.
The first foal out of the dual Listed-placed Montjeu mare Mooakada, Mahsoob's third dam is the Group 3 winner and twice Group 1-placed Nashwan mare Bint Shadayid, who herself is a daughter of 1,000 Guineas heroine and Marcel Boussac heroine Shadayid.
