Kingman has already reached a century of worldwide wins in less than two seasons as a stallion and his 101st looked as if she might be out of the ordinary after an electric victory from Khayzaraan at Deauville.

A Shadwell homebred in the care of Freddy Head, the juvenile had found circumstances against her on her debut on the Normandy coast late last month but was a different proposition when upped to a mile for the Prix de la Maison de l’Armateur.

Khayzaraan shot clear by the home turn and ended up winning by an emphatic nine lengths from Jean-Claude Rouget’s Invincible Spirit filly Black Fever, who had finished in front of her on their respective debuts.

Khayzaraan holds an advance entry in the Prix Marcel Boussac on Arc weekend and is from a family which Head is very familiar with.

He trained her dam, the multiple Listed-placed Dubawi mare Riqa, and also took charge of the two previous progeny to have made the racecourse. The most notable is the sprinter Tantheem, a winner of three Group 3s including the Prix du Petit Couvert.
