Towards rear, headway 3 out, went second going best 2 out, switched left and pushed along to challenge approaching last, soon led, ridden and kept on well run-in, won going away (op 13/2 tchd 11/2)
Took keen hold, chased clear leader, headway 3 out, left in lead home turn, ridden and hard pressed 2 out, headed last, kept on but drifted right run-in, no extra towards finish (tchd 6/4)
Raced freely, led, 10 lengths ahead with one circuit to go, hung left after 3rd, jumped left then hung left and raced wide after 4 out, soon much reduced lead, hung badly left and raced extremely wide home turn, soon headed and eased (stewards inquired into running and riding; jockey said that gelding is normally a free-running horse but on this occasion was running very free in the early stages when in the lead with no company; he added that the gelding began to increasingly hang more left-handed as the race progressed, despite his best efforts, leading to the gelding becoming un-steerable on the final bend and in the home straight, a fact which he had reported to scales) (op 11/8 tchd 7/4)
