Zeshov should be bang there with clear run

Rustique is worth another chance back on a faster surface 2.40 Yarmouth
Ed Walker's filly won so easily in a first-time hood on quick ground at this track three starts ago it might be worth forgiving two subsequent defeats on slower surfaces now she has what appears her favoured conditions again.
There has to be a concern her success might have mainly been due to headgear going on for the first time as she hasn't shown the same spark since. However, the ground was good to soft at Redcar next time, while Chelmsford's surface is fairly deep. The fact Rustiqe's best other performances have come at Lingfield and Wolverhamtpn suggest she is suited by quick surfaces, which she will get here.
The step up to 1m1f shouldn't be an issue given she has won over 1m1½f. That success came off only 4lb lower than she runs from here and the yard is 4-16 in three-year-old-plus handicaps at the track in the last five seasons.
Simply Me shaped better than the bare result on her handicap debut last time 4.20 Haydock
Tom Dascombe's filly faced some stiff tasks on her first three starts (contested a £16k Newmarket maiden and the £108k Tattersalls Millions), so it was difficult to work out whether an opening mark of 62 was fair. However, despite being beaten nearly five lengths into fifth at Windsor on her handicap debut last month, the half-sister to seven winners acquitted herself well enough in a race not run to suit to suggest it is unlikely to be insurmountable.
The first four home in that contest were pretty much in those positions throughout and the first three home weren't a bad trio either, as they included a last-time-out scorer and the 15-8 favourite, while the winner went close to following up off a 3lb higher mark.
In finishing fifth Simply Me showed enough to warrant another look off a 2lb lower mark in a similar race. She appeared to handle fast ground okay that day and the yard, which enjoys plenty of success at this track (6-18 in three-year-old-plus handicaps this season), is in terrific form, having sent out four winners from its 10 runners (it also had the runner-up in this 12 months ago).
Zeshov is overdue a change of luck 5.10 Yarmouth
Zeshov has run much better than his last three form figures imply and, sooner rather than later, a race is likely to pan out well enough for him to take advantage of a potentially favourable mark.
Rebecca Bastiman's gelding appeared on his way back when briefly hitting the front approaching the final furlong at Redcar three starts back. Unfortunately he was unable to build on that at Ayr next time, when he had nowhere to go inside the final furlong, and it wasn't much better at Beverley 17 days ago, as he was denied room when attempting to improve up the inside rail. While it is not advisable to continually make excuses for older horses who find trouble in running, Zeshov does not have many miles on the clock for a five-year-old and those two efforts should probably be forgiven considering his improved display at Redcar.
There should be no excuses back on this straight track, he is well suited by fast ground and is 8lb lower than when winning at Newmarket last summer. A further 5lb is removed by Lewis Edmunds, who is in excellent heart having ridden two winners and two seconds from his last seven mounts.
