North: Colin Russell
First Account (1.20 Carlisle, nap)
Winning Irish pointer who was third in a decent 2m novice here on hurdles daebut. Jumped really well that day and as this longer trip will suit he is fancied to get off the mark.
Others to follow
Carlisle: 12.20 The Hollow Chap, 12.50 Trooblue, 1.55 Trongate, 2.25 Big River, 3.00 Lowanbehold, 3.30 Shacona's Joy.
Southwell: 12.40 Iskabeg Lane, 1.45 Mid Day Gun, 2.15 Canny Style, 2.50 Indian Opera.
Lambourn: James Burn
Khage (1.10 Southwell, nap)
Five-year-old is well thought of by trainer Harry Whittington, but fell on his debut for the yard in October. However, he has done plenty of schooling since and has also had a breathing operation in the interim.
Others to follow
Southwell: 1.45 Invisible Clouds, 2.15 Kimberley Point, 3.20 Don Des Fosses.
West Country: Andrew King
Umbrigado (1.10 Southwell, nap)
Made a winning British debut in a bumper at Uttoxeter and is expected to repeat that on his first try over hurdles.
Others to follow
Southwell: 12.40 Dalaman, 3.20 Great Tempo.
Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason
Xpo Universel (12.50 Carlisle, nap)
This nine-year-old could prove very well handicapped if reproducing his much improved recent hurdle form on the switch back to chasing.
Topspeed: Dave Edwards
Lough Derg Farmer (3.00 Carlisle)
Some lacklustre efforts have seen the handicapper relax his grip and an improved display at Uttoxeter last month suggests he could end his lean spell.
Longshot: Samuel King
Squouateur (Navan 1.00)
Hasn't had much luck recently over fences so it's interesting he's now switched back to hurdles off a mark of 134, entitling him to go well at an each-way price in a competitive looking handicap.
Ireland: Tony O'Hehir
Rhinestone (12.30 Navan)
A leading bumper horse from last season, he looked good on his hurdling debut and should appreciate this step up in trip to remain unbeaten over flights.

Nigel Twiston-Davies has won with his last five runners in hurdle races at Carlisle, a run which stretches back to October 2017. He has two good chances to enhance that record, with Earlofthecotswolds (12.20) and One For Rosie (1.20).
