BANKER

Autumn Leaves (1.50 Salisbury)

This filly went down the narrowest of noses at Newbury last time having looked as though she was about to go one better than her debut at Salisbury in June. Electric Landlady, who won at Newbury, was thought good enough to run at Royal Ascot and trainer Clive Cox is having an outstanding year with his two-year-olds (13 winners at a 23 per cent strike-rate for a £1 level-stake profit of £15). Ryan Moore is up and should win if ground stays on the quick side.

DARK HORSE

Shyron (6.30 Yarmouth)

Considerably better on the all-weather, Shyron contests this race off his lowest turf mark since 2013. His sole turf win came over course-and-distance and he produced a good run on his penultimate start. The three-year-olds are potential spoilers, but the older horses look to hold no secrets from the handicapper.

EYECATCHER

Fools And Kings (5.45 Chepstow)

Took a big step forward on his second start when landing a maiden at Wolverhampton having finished down the field at Lingfield on debut. He starts handicap life off a stiff mark but the Wolverhampton race has produced winners and Luke Morris, who was riding that day, is in the saddle.
